Aesthetics

as a result of being cooped up in the house for the best part of a week under doctor's orders, i finally snapped yesterday and spent hours colour coordinating my bedroom. i'm one of those people that feels like there's always something i could or should be doing. not that i necessarily do it - i've been known to take weeks to do the most basic things necessary to be considered an adult like hanging my clothes in my wardrobe or sewing a button, but then i'll suddenly have a burst of inspiration and i'll take on really large, unnecessary things like aesthetically rearranging my entire desk and dresser, or folding all of my skirts, shorts and pants into my drawers so i have enough space in my wardrobe for my tops! both of these are things i have accomplished in the past week, as well as my second blog post in 5 days, which must be some sort of record for me because i'm not used to having this much free time!

i also saw the legendary refused on tuesday night (this was before i was told i had pneumonia on wednesday) and even though i was feeling awful i would do it again! it's not often you get to see a hugely influential punk band that broke up in 1998 play a reunion show, and since i won't ever get to see them again it was well worth it, no matter how sick i got.

  7. you have so many beautiful trinkets!! Your room looks stunning.
I am completely the same, anything i need to do takes weeks, but i managed to find time to empty the content of my whole wardrobe fold each piece and colour coordinate it all before handing it all back up with the colour all mixed. Just felt i needed that extra middle step.

  9. Your room is complete and utter perfection, it looks like the Lisbon girls bedroom! I love all of your sweet little kitties and just all of the PINK everywhere! You have such a lovely perfume bottle collection too, and just adorable knick-knacks and bits and bobs everywhere. Seriously I just can't help but gush looking at these pictures, you are so lucky to have such a lovely room!
Also, I love how dreamy your photos are, you edit them so beautifully and you're really just a wonderful photographer. May I ask what lens and camera you use to take such dreamy shots?

Hope you feel better soon, having had pneumonia for weeks before, I only know too well how shitty it is.

  17. Aw feel better soon! And i laughed at the first paragraph- i'm much the same way. Most of my clothes is littering the floor and i have a never ending list of stuff to do in my head, that just never gets done...until that one random moment where i'm like "HERE WE GO". And can i just say, you have the most amazing collection of knick knacks ever. so many treasures!
