Lady Luck Festival

a few weeks ago the lovely amy (below) and i went to the lady luck festival in katoomba which, although i was initially put off by the distance, was not actually that far away and turned out to be well worth it! unfortunately the weather was pretty miserable but we spent most of the day popping in and out of antique & op-shops as well as the festival stalls so it wasn't a problem. who knew the blue mountains was such a great place for vintage shopping? i managed to pick up the most beautiful navy blue dress with black velvet polka dots that is exactly my size, but unfortunately didn't take any photos of it (sorry)!

i'd also like to mention that i've revamped my blog and made a new header and everything (oooh), so please take a look if you're viewing this from a reader/feed. :) i've also re-organised all my tags so they make more sense and if you're interested in what camera the photos were taken with my posts will now be tagged accordingly.

  7. I love your new header so much! The little pink blossoms are perfect for spring, which is slowly creeping up here (though I guess for you - it is cooling down now?)It sounds like you had a splendid time at the festival. What are those things in the last photo?

    1. yeah, unfortunately it's going to be cooling down here soon, i hate the cold weather so i guess the header will have to keep me focused on spring until it gets here again, haha. i'm not sure what the boxes are but i think they're boxes of old scrolls of sheet music for self playing pianos? that sounds pretty specific but that's just what i assumed they are, haha.

  11. One of my New Years resolutions was to start using my film cameras more and now you've inspired me! I've always found them such a hassle, but I need to learn to start using them so I don't have to carry the instructions everywhere, haha. Looks like you had such a fun time! Sydney looks like it has some amazing festivals. There isn't much in Perth! I hope you'll do a perfume collection soon, by the way! I bet it's amazing! Also, loving the new layout! You inspired me to tweak mine a little! xox

    1. it can be a bit annoying because i don't like taking film photos at night so you basically have to be doing something during the day that is interesting enough that you might actually use up a whole roll of film because i hate having unfinished rolls in my camera because it means it takes me forever to get them developed.
